Technical Manager at Willhem in Karlstad

Do you want to work for sustainable properties and have knowledge and interest in management and construction technology? Willhem is now taking a strong initiative to upgrade its property portfolio both operationally and technically and is establishing a new role as Technical Manager. We are looking for someone who, with their technical expertise, wants to make a difference on our journey forward!

Willhem Karlstad currently owns and manages almost 2700 apartments. The portfolio is located in various parts of Karlstad and consists of both new production and older properties. As a Technical Manager, you will work across our entire portfolio and be based at our area office in central Karlstad. You will be welcomed by 19 colleagues consisting of property managers, administrators, operations technicians, assistant managers, and caretakers.

About the Role

As a Technical Manager, your focus will be on well-maintained and long-term sustainable properties, and your construction knowledge will be a welcome contribution to Karlstad's management. You will be responsible for ensuring that our portfolio is maintained and developed cost-effectively and with quality operations. In your role, you will carry out several projects within our portfolio. An important part will be to assess, from your holistic perspective, which efforts will provide the greatest benefit in achieving our business goals. As a Technical Manager, you will work closely with colleagues within the management team; we work as a team and not only manage but also develop! You will be an important part of Karlstad's management group and report to the Property Manager.

Examples of Responsibilities:

· Damage management, planning, and driving smaller projects

· Planning and driving smaller projects within operations, maintenance, and renovation.

· Participating in the procurement of framework agreements

· Being an active part of Willhem Karlstad's maintenance and business planning

· Managing insurance claims related to damages

· Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, planning, and budgeting for measures

· Supporting and further developing caretakers in their daily work.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with relevant post-secondary education in project management, construction technology, or management, or equivalent work experience.

To enter the role effectively, especially since it is new to us, we see that you have several years of work experience that has provided you with the knowledge to manage smaller projects and handle damages along with accompanying insurance claims. You have good construction knowledge and the structure required to manage multiple management projects and handle procurement. Furthermore, you have an understanding of the overall management, which helps you prioritize and make the best decisions based on the situation. A driver's license is also required for the role.

We are looking for a team player who enjoys challenges and is motivated by making a difference in your areas – development and maintenance of properties. You are driven and have the ability to work structured, as well as a business-minded approach in your work.
